SWEEPS-04 is a Hot Jupiter extrasolar planet, orbiting the star SWEEPS J175853.92-291120.6 located around 27,710 light years away from Earth in the constellation of Sagittarius. This makes SWEEPS-04, along with SWEEPS-11, the most distant extrasolar planets that have been confirmed. The planet was found in 2006 by the Sagittarius Window Eclipsing Extrasolar Planet Search (SWEEPS) program. It was found using the transit method.
The planet has a mass 3.8 times that of Jupiter, and has an estimated radius of 0.81 times that of Jupiter, although the uncertainty of this value is large (around 12%). The planet orbits very close to its host star, taking only 4.2 days to complete an orbit.
