Perseverance is the most recent of NASA Mars rovers. It came with a helicopter, named Ingenuity. It landed on February 18, 2021 and launched on July 30, 2020. It is part of a mission named Mars 2020.

After NASA had a few budget cuts that caused it to fall back in Mars exploration, backing out of several missions. Eventually, NASA decided to make another rover by 2020. They decided that Perseverance would be the start of a Mars sample return mission.
