Black hole

Black Holes are regions of space-time where not even light can escape. Black Holes were first proposed by Einstein's theory of General Relativity but because not even him believed in such things no one thought those could exist. Einstein's death would be in the moment that Stephen Hawkings would start his investigation. Stephen Hawkings, unfortunately, had a sickness called motor neuron disease that would be slowly paralyzing his body. At the age of 20 doctors gave him a year to live. He passed all those obstacles with the help of his wife and children. Stephen Hawkings passed his entire life studying Black Holes and everything about them. He was the discoverer of the famous Hawking Radiation that makes Black Holes slowly disappear. He also made the first thing to do about this subject, it was the first thing he tried to do: proving the existence of Black Holes. Stephen Hawkings passed away in 2018 and wasn't able to see the first photo taken of a Black Hole, in 2019. Even if it was a blur on the image it was the main prove that these gigantic monsters exist. Today we have better images of Black Holes and even detailed ones after decades of effort.

Prediction and Discovery[]

Black Holes were first thought by Einstein in his General Relativity theory. Because Einstein himself didn't believe in them, no one could say that believed because the man who came up with the idea said it was fake! But the search wasn't over. Around the 1970's Stephen Hawking started investigating this space monsters and proved that they really existed. Only in 2019 scientists had an image of one (Sagittarius A*) and only in 2023 that clear images started appearing. Taking a photo of one has been proven difficult, due to how far away they are. Scientists needed a really powerful telescope to do such thing and they only accomplished that really recently in 2019, one year after Stephen Hawking death.
